"Anacrusis" you will find in the toolbar category < Meter >. The button (Icon) "Anacrusis" you will find in the toolbar category < Meter >.
Attention: Set the time signature first before you create an anacrusis.
Place the cursor into the very first bar. Click on the corresponding button afterwards and appropriate dialogue box appears:
You can now declare the length of the anacrusis music in eighths as a count unit.
In order to delete an anacrusis, set the number of eighth to zero!
Examples:
Quarter (crotchet) anacrusis, Declare: 2 eighth as anacrusis
Dotted quarter (Dotted crotchet) anacrusis, Declare: 3 eighth as anacrusis
Half anacrusis, Declare: 4 eighth as anacrusis
2-Quarter ( 2crotchets) anacrusis, Declare: 4 eighth as anacrusis
Two sixteenth ( Two semiquavers) anacrusis, Declare: 1 eighth as anacrusis
Four Sixteenth (Four semiquavers) anacrusis, Declare: 2 eighth as anacrusis
( For a 3-Sixteenth ( 3 semiquavers) anacrusis , you must also declare 2 eighth as anacrusis!)
