Store Current Work Under The New Name

The button "Save As..." you will find in the Tool bar left above.

You can save an existing work under new name or save in to another folder under the same name in case if you do not want to overwrite the current file.

It recommends to make backup copies in periodic time intervals  in order to possibly be able to revert  (for example because however, the last alterations changes, were not so good) again on an older condition of the work.

Octava always generates the next-to-last work as backup-data file automatically, with File- typ: "vb".

If you once overwrite a data file unintentionally to itself , so you simply load the corresponding backup-data file with the data file-extension ".vb"
