The page (print)-view menu shows the score, or the single-voices as they are printed out.
When editing a composition, one wishes to adjust which advantage is taken better. The work-view menu is used for it. In the work-view, the statement is formatted matching to the score-window and not lay-out! Indemnifications and fringes are reduced!
Therefore you have another layout in the work-view menu as in the page (print)-view.
In the page (print)-view menu of a single-part, several empty bars become automatically condensed and shown as multi-bar-rests.
In scores and other voice-departures, rests must be summarized (see category "Page") manually.
You can force your computer to perform the screen-redraw, in which you click twice on the above symbol (click on as well as ).
